On July 19, 2024, the public presentation of the book The Trial of Catarina de Orta by the Goa Inquisition (1568-1569), published by Under the Peepal Tree, took place at the headquarters of the Orient Foundation in Pangim (Goa, India).
The book, by researchers Miguel Rodrigues Lourenço, Susana Bastos Mateus and Carla Vieira, is an updated English translation of the Portuguese edition, published in the Goana Series of CESAB’s Usque Collection. This is the first time that a case from the Goa Inquisition has been translated into English.
