The posthumous work by Herman P. Salomon, in collaboration with João Félix Almeida and António Guimarães Pinto, Falsidade do Padre Vieira Convencida, has just come to light. With this volume, a triptych is completed that also includes the works Queimar Vieira em Estátua and Os Gravames dos Cristãos-Novos. This set of texts – through the publication of previously unknown and little-explored documentary sources – offers an important contribution to the study of the “Inquisition and New Christians” nexus in the Portuguese context of the Early Modern period.
