The Monsoon Project has, since April 2025, involved students from the History course at the Federal University of Viçosa in research on the presence of New Christians in the State of India. The group, which has the local cooperation of Professor Angelo Adriano Faria de Assis, is analyzing documentation produced between the 16th and 18th centuries with the aim of expanding knowledge about the world of New Christians in the Indian and Western Pacific Oceans.
